| Thirty-Year Veteran Technical Writer Publishes First Fantasy Title |
|
For Immediate Release - Bellvue, CO - Alta Publishing today announced the publication of Stones, Swords and Dragons, an inaugural novel by local author Paul Tilden. Stones, Swords and Dragons is the first installment of The Alluthian Chronicles, a fantasy trilogy for young adult audiences. A technical writer by trade and a passionate reader of fantasy all his life, Tilden decided try his hand at fantasy writing after he realized that most novels on the market portrayed dragons in a negative light. Instead, Stones, Swords and Dragons features dragons as positive characters throughout the novel. Good vs. evil is another central theme throughout the book, which chronicles Alluthian royalty twins Aran and Arsa. As the twins reach their sixteenth birthday, they discover their long lost heritage has been destroyed by evil that has ravaged the land. The novel chronicles the twins as they embark on an adventure to restore happiness to their kingdom. “Reality is often cruel,” said author Paul Tilden. “I hope the readers of Stones, Swords, and Dragons can use this novel as an escape from reality. The book acts as a positive light in a sometimes negative world, proving that good can overcome evil I hope that my readers will fall in love with Aran and Arsa and look forward to reading about their upcoming adventures which will be continued in the second book of the trilogy.” Paul Tilden was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and relocated to Colorado serve in the United States Air Force. Tilden has spent the last thirty years as a writer for technical publications and websites. He currently resides in northern Colorado with his wife and six children.
