| Local Minister Chronicles Spiritual Journey of Renewal Through Love of God in Dancing Into Joy: A Spiraling Easter Dance |
|
For Immediate Release - Dickinson, North Dakota - DewSpirit Publishing today announced the release of the self-help title Dancing Into Joy: A Spiraling Easter Dance by author and pastor M. Kathleen Chesnut. Dancing Into Joy is the first book by Chesnut who also spent many years as an English teacher. Chesnut compiles years of heartache into Dancing Into Joy and offers readers an inside look into her personal spiritual journey of healing. Abused as a child, Chesnut slowly begins to trust and enjoy life again with the help of her faith. Dancing Into Joy tells the tale of her rebirth through poems, essays, meditation rituals, letters, sermons, memoirs, and letters. Chesnut encourages her readers to take a similar path of self-discovery while reading Dancing Into Joy. The role of faith and God play an important role in the book as well as in Chesnut’s life. Revealing much of herself in Dancing Into Joy, Chesnut speaks from her dark inner thoughts and resurfaces from the journey refreshed and renewed. Readers will likely be inspired by her honesty, her connection with God, and her ultimate discovery of happiness. The book is separated into six inspirational sections: As it Sometimes Grows Dark, Hope, The Darkness, Choosing Life-Rejecting Darkness, Love, and Joy. “During my time of personal discovery, I relied on many works of literature and inspiration to make it through,” said author M. Kathleen Chesnut. “I decided to write Dancing Into Joy to bring that same type of motivation to others who might be going through difficult times in their lives. The power of God and the power of love can bring you out of anything and Dancing Into Joy will prove that to every reader.” M. Kathleen Chesnut was born in Tarrytown, New York. After college, she began teaching English at an Indian Reservation and then later at a local high school where her love of reading and writing began. Chesnut entered the Lancaster Theological Seminary and was ordained as a minister in 1993. She currently serves as pastor of the Dickinson First Congregational-United Church of Christ in Dickinson, North Dakota and the First Presbyterian Church in Belfield.
